The Management Committee is appointed by the minister and shall consist of:

• The Permanent Secretary of the Ministry of Education (Chairman)
• The Chief Education Officer (Deputy Chairman)
• A representative from the Ministry of Finance, nominated by the Director of Finance and Planning
• A representative from the Cave Hill Campus of The University of the West Indies, nominated by the Pro-Vice Chancellor of that campus
• A representative from the Barbados Institute of Management and Productivity

The minister may:

1. Appoint a person to act in the absence or inability of any committee member, except the Chairman.
2. Increase the membership of the committee when deemed necessary or expedient.
